Motif Records Official Statement: Zaki Ibrahim Tribute To Lebo Mathosa at Hansa Festival Of Legends

With utmost respect to Lebo Mathosa and her fans, we are disappointed by the outcome of Saturday night’s performance at the Hansa Festival Of Legends, nowhere in the country would Boom Shaka or Zaki Ibrahim get boo’d by an audience, however, the pressure of the stature of artist being honored as well as technical glitches, amongst other issues, resulted in overall frustration and a poor performance. We have complete faith in Zaki Ibrahim’s ability as an artist and we stand by her 100%, we would like to take this opportunity to congratulate her on her SAMA nomination for Best R&B/Soul artist.
